10 Things Every Bride Must Do A Week Before Getting Married

By Neha Garg Ahuja .

Getting married is the most difficult decision of your life, apart from deciding your bridal look, and of course, 100 other wedding planning things that come along.

While everyone tells you what to do once you are married, and how your life will change, we really want you to focus on these 10 things that you must do before getting married.

1. Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate!

Wedding planning is not an easy thing to do, and during this time you need to make sure that you stay well hydrated.

2. By now you should have all of your attire ready to go.

Do your final outfit fitting session and make sure nothing is left for alterations any more.

It would be a plus if you try on your whole bridal look including jewellery to see how you will look on your big day.

3. Break in your heels

It’s advisable to wear your brand new heels for a short while before the wedding day so it’s much comfortable for your wedding day.

4. Keep your beauty routine simple

The week before your wedding isn’t the best time to try a new beauty treatment. It may cause you any skin reaction and that’s probably the last thing you want right before your wedding day.

5. Learn to make 'Suji ka halwa' for the first day after your wedding

Trust me there will be multiple versions of that one, easy to make Suji ka halwa.

Your mother will give you one recipe, your sister another, and your aunt, another one, but we recommend sticking to the one recipe, that easy, so you don’t mix things.

6. Pack a separate bag for your honeymoon

If you going for your honeymoon immediately after the wedding or a week after, we suggest you pack a separate bag so you don’t have to worry about the packing lat

Also make sure to pack these super important things you’ll need on your honeymoon (including your passport, visa, and other important documents).

7. Spend quality time with your parents

Because you are going to miss them more than anything in the world 🙁

8. Meet your husband to be

Even if it’s just for a cup of coffee, or discussing the wedding planning, make sure you spend some time and make memories to look back at once you two are blissfully married.

9. Take proper sleep

The more you rest, the better. Once the wedding festivities begin, it won’t be easy to take proper rest.

10. Don’t exert yourself, Relax and Breathe

Between all these emotional trails, bridezilla moments, and finalizing your bridal look, make sure to pamper yourself and be prepared for the most exciting days of your life coming ahead.

Book a spa, take a walk, watch your favorite movie, go on a lunch date with your sister, or simply do whatever you like to do to relax and remember that everything will go just perfect.
