All those planning you did for months finally came together, and you two are ‘happily married’. Congratulations! It was a magical day filled with love, family, friends, food, drinks, and lots of crazy dancing.
You may assume – this is it; now you two can relax and enjoy your newly-wedded days (and of course make love). But there are a few things that you must do right after your wedding is over.
Here’s a quick #postwedding checklist to help you get it all done.
1. Marriage Registration
In the midst of all the craziness of planning, and getting married, don’t forget to register your marriage. While it is not as easy as it sounds, and often takes a backseat after the wedding festivities, but it is mandatory and shouldn’t be missed.
2. Write Thank You Notes
Writing thank you notes and appreciating the guests who made it to the most special day of your life is very thoughtful.
You can write them a thank you message on WhatsApp or send them a card with a box of sweets.
3. Ensure Your Wedding Vendors Have Been Paid
Your wedding vendors worked really hard to make your dream wedding come true, make sure they are paid on time.
You should also thank them personally, especially if they did an outstanding job.
4. Make It ‘Social Media’ Official
In the world of social media, nothing is official until you have updated your marital status with beautiful caption and a heart-warming photo, right?
Let the whole (social media) world know of your new innings!
5. Pack Your wedding Lehenga And Store
Your wedding dress is your most prized possession filled with endless memories, thus, it deserves to be preserved with love and care.
Make sure you dry clean it before storing.
6. Open Gifts And Shagun Packets
Probably one of the most fun parts after the wedding (at least for me) is opening all the gifts!
PS: Don’t forget to take a note of who got you what so you can reciprocate the same!
7. Add Your Partner To The Family WhatsApp Groups
This will help your partner know your extended family better.
8. Pack For Your Honeymoon
In case you haven’t done this until now, it’s time for you to pack for your most exciting and first ever trip together after your wedding.
You can pack later on if you are planning to go on your honeymoon sometime later.
