About The Couple

Their Tale

Priyanka & Ishan’s is a story that began as friendship between two colleagues and later mushroomed into romance over years and a long distance. The duo got engaged back in 2019 and tied the knot in November 2020 under the open Bengaluru skies.

The Details

Wedding Planning & Details

Priyanka & Ishan’s soiree, hosted at The Courtyard House, was all about embracing the cultural differences and reveling in pure love along with breaking the stereotypes. While the wedding was beautifully weaved with both Bengali & Marathi threads, the duo decided to ditch Bidai & Kanyadaan and also have Ishan’s mum do all the rituals from his side, instead of giving in to the age-old belief that widows cannot sit at the shaadi mandap or be involved in holy rituals.

The couple planned the wedding themselves along with the team of Kraftstar Management that designed and executed the entire ceremony. The Wedding Fellas, whereas, captured the entire celebration with their lens in magical frames.

The Haldi Ceremony

A blend of all things pretty and happy, the outdoor haldi ceremony boasted of yellow and pink-hued decor curated with fabric elements and bell accentuated marigold garlands. Everybody was breathing in yellow hues and the entire function looked like one coordinated gorgeousness amidst the lush natural greens.

Couple Looks

While Ishan went all chiller and comfy in a yellow and cream kurta-dhoti set, Priyanka was a breath of fresh air in her ‘Bengali weds Maharashtrian’ look.

Clad in a yellow saree with a personalized back blouse by Aryavart, she teamed up her outfit with dainty gold jewels, open hair, and a bright lip. While the Bengali Shakha Pola adorned her wrists along with a sindoor dibba in the hand, the Maharashtrian nath and chand bindi completed her look flawlessly.

The Wedding

A quaint floral affair breathing in hues of peach and white topped with sorbet-hued blooms, greens, and fairy lights, the outdoor setup was truly a sight to behold.

Glistening crystal strings and candles further elevated the ambience and the vibe of the ceremony.

Priyanka's Wedding Look

Priyanka looked like a daydream in her bright pink saree with a veil from Advaya by The House Of Angadi. Just like her haldi look, the bridal look too was a blend of both the cultures as she donned the Bengali Mukut and the Maharashtrian Mundawar together.

She accessorized her look with ruby encrusted gold and diamond jewels that added the perfect tinch of royal vibes to her look. Deepa Megnath glammed up Priyanka by giving her a flushed base, popping eyelids, and a bold pink lip. Complete with a rose accentuated bun, her traditional look spoke for itself.

Ishan's Wedding Look

Ishan too, opted for a traditional look and wore a cream and gold sherwani which he paired with a matching stole and a five-stringed pearl mala.

Just like his lady love, his look also boasted of the two cultures as he wore both Pagdi and Topor for different wedding rituals.

The wedding was subsequently followed by a sangeet-cum-reception night where everybody made merry, danced their hearts out, and celebrated the couple.

Couple Looks

The duo opted for classic reception looks for the evening and completely stole the show. While Ishan looked handsome in a black three-piece tux, Priyanka channeled her glamorous side in a red minimally sequined gown by Threads In Style. Open hair, bright red lips, and dainty earrings completed her look to a tee.
