The Details

Proposal Story

Shaheen had planned to go out for dinner with her friends and on her way to the restaurant she was surprised to see Qaseem standing in front of her. Behind him, there was a huge board that was lit up with fairy lights and it read – ‘Grow Old With Me’. Wedding Details

Shaheen and Qaseem wanted the wedding to be a royal and classy affair. They wanted the celebrations to be a reflection of their love and hence, they chose to do all the arrangements by themselves. All the precious moments throughout the wedding were captured by Sarkodie photography and Angi Kim Photography along with Baqdrop for the cinematography.

Dj Vinny and Dj AJ kept the guest grooving all through the events. The guest also enjoyed a wide spread of food that was specially prepared by Tandoori HutUrban Tadka, and Billus.

For the décor, they chose Décor o Shaan for all their events and hands down they did a fabulous job. They maintained the right balance of floral, fairy lights and colours.

The wedding celebrations kicked off with the Mehandi ceremony at Shaheen’s House. This was more of an intimate affair with just close family and friends. Shaheen was glowing in a bottle green lehenga with gold details on it. Qaseem complimented Shaheen’s attire so well as he wore a bronze coloured Nehru jacket on a green kurta.

Shaheen and Qaseem’s sangeet at Liverpool Roma Function Centre was a fun-filled affair. For the sangeet, Shaheen was dolled in a silver lehenga designed by Falguni Shane Peacockwhere she looked drop-dead gorgeous. Qaseem looked handsome in a blue bandh gala suit. Their look for the sangeet was nothing less royal.

The haldi ceremony was all about fun and colours. There was a lot of haldi and colour that was being smeared on the bride and groom’s face.

For the haldi ceremony, Shaheen looked fresh and vibrant in a yellow lehenga with a pink bandhani dupatta. While Qaseem stuck to keeping it subtle in an off white kurta-pyjama paired with a beige Nehru jacket.

Bride Look

For the wedding at  Le Montage Lilyfield, Shaheen looked like a million bucks in a red and gold lehenga beautifully designed by Sabyasachi. It looked elegant, regal and traditional. She wore a red and gold jewellery set that complimented her outfit. Her hair and makeup were done to perfection by Gather and Stitch Beauty.

Groom Look

Complimenting his beautiful bride, Qaseem wore a sharp and classy Velvet Black suit with a white shirt and a black bow. They looked like a perfect match made in heaven.

Unique Details

For the entrance song, Shaheen chose ‘Dilbaro’ from the movie Raazi. She loves the connection between a father and a daughter and the story of a girl growing up and getting married. For their couple dance, they chose ‘Mere Mehboob’ from ‘Duplicate’, ‘Soch’ from ‘Airlift’ and ‘Na Ja Na Ja’.
