#AnshAna: A Whimsical Indo-Serbian Celebration In Serbia & Turkey

By Divya Arora .

Oftentimes, we come across tales and weddings that transport us instantly from our grim realities into dreamy realms where everything looks beautiful and feels beautiful. Our eyes start to sparkle and our hearts start to flutter slowly, and then all at once leaving us wide eyed and spellbound.

And exactly that is the #AnshAna wedding— a tale that mushroomed in Vienna years back & blossomed into surreal wedding celebrations marked across three destinations- Serbia, Turkey, & India.

Ansh & Bobana met each other in their Law school classroom in Vienna and their connection was in a way, instant; the classic sparks flew at the first sight thing! They dated for more than a year before they finally confessed their love in Mumbai.

This dreamy Indo-Serbian affair was remarkably curated by different teams of wedding experts who worked closely and pieced together each and every element to perfection.

While Meha Bhargava, founder of Styl.Inc, styled the entire celebration right from the decor to the wedding looks, the ace planners Chapter 2 Events led by Kunal Laungani, planned and brought the entire wedding vision to life.

Furthermore, the team of CineLove Productions framed the entire soiree at such an aesthetic and gorgeous best that the photos literally boast of a life of their own.

The wedding revelries kicked-started with a Christian ceremony in Bobana’s hometown Belgrade, Serbia, followed by an extravagant big fat Indian wedding in Antalya, Turkey, and a reception in New Delhi, India.

The Christian Wedding- Serbia

Hosted at Topčiderac, Serbia, the couple’s green & white themed Christian vows were a whimsical riot of fairy lights, elegant table settings, white florals, and foliage. Decorators Svadbena Zvona, together with the wedding stylists and planners decked up the entire space in an extremely flamboyant manner.

For the ceremony while Ansh looked dapper in a white tuxedo from Philocaly, Bobana looked a breathtaking vision in a pristine white gown teamed up with a plain veil.

She accessorized her look with a dainty pendant and a bracelet while the team of Makeover by Milena Stević had Bobana’s open hair half-tied in side twists coupled with soft curls.

Big Fat Indian Wedding- Turkey

Hosted at the Titanic Mardan Palace, Antalya, the three day long celebrations began with an official welcome dinner hosted by Ansh’s family at the Aquamarine restaurant (underground aquarium) of the property.

Together with the stylists and the planners, the team of All In Weddings & Events managed the decor for the entire Indian soiree in a super tasteful and distinctive manner.

The Haldi Holi

A fun and boisterous all yellow haldi-holi ceremony embarked the Indian #AnshAna revelries on a highly spirited note. White and yellow hued florals teamed up with lush greens and complementing tablescapes marked the entire space heartily.

Ansh, for the day picked up a Philocaly kurta & Nehru jacket set in the hues of mustard, cream, and brown.

Bobana slipped into a breezy and flowy crop top & flared pants set with a dupatta by Anushree Reddy from Agashe. With hair tied up in a ponytail and dainty floral jewellery, Bobana looked absolutely splendid for her haldi.

The Evening Sangeet

The evening sangeet was no less than a gala that was themed ‘Fire & Ice’ with ice signifying the chilly weather and fire holding up for the exotic & fiery performances by professional fire artists from Turkey.

These were followed by the couple’s family and friends setting the stage ablaze with their performances that turned into hearty & joyous Serbia vs India!

For the evening, Ansh suited himself with a black Ravi Gupta tux with a bow tie. Bobana, on the other hand, went traditionally chic in an Ivory Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor lehenga laden with colorful thread & mirror embroideries, picked up from Ogaan. She teamed up her outfit with a glorious diamond set while Anjie Gogna gave her light shimmery eyes, a pale lip, and open hair accentuated with a crown braid.

Beachside Sundowner Pheras

A perfect blend of Indian traditions and Turkish entertainment, Ansh & Bobana’s beach ceremony was an exquisitely dreamy affair that boasted of quaint sorbet-hued florals. Set against the oceanic backdrop, the dome shaped mandap was heavily festooned with white, pink, and peach hued blooms coupled with lush foliage.

While a white aisle led to that serene mandap, minimally decorated white Tiffany chairs made for the guests’ seating that added an unparalleled charm to the entire setting.

Bobana made her bridal entry in a Turkish palanquin amidst typical Indian wedding songs dolled up in an effervescent emerald green Anita Dongre lehenga. Meha chose to accessorize her look with a royal polki & emerald choker set and a green and turquoise bangle set.

Anjie Gogna had Bobana’s hair done in a low tousled updo along with soft glimmering eyes, nude lips, and a Swarovski bindi.

Ansh, whereas, made his way to the mandap in a white convertible with the baraat boasting of Indian dholwalas and a Turkish band. He donned a pistachio green embroidered sherwani from Brahaan by Narains and a beige safa by Sarab Khanijou.

The pheras were subsequently followed by a red and gold themed opulent reception that was a grand celebration in itself. With the couple’s first dance followed by performances from water drummers, Tannura dancers, belly dancers, and fun post wedding games, the reception was one exuberant party.

Delhi Reception

The duo hosted their reception at MorBagh, Delhi, which was curated along with the team of Silverline. The romantic yet rustic decor was fashioned using colorful blooms, wildflowers, dried foliage, rustic tablescapes with windsor chairs, and a quirky photobooth!

Bobana, for the event, donned the gorgeousness of sequins and ruffles in her princessy plum hued Ambika Lal gown from Agashe.

She wore a dainty uncut diamonds necklace with a matching bracelet and frolicked about in her natural bridal radiance. Open wavy tresses, lined eyes, and a pretty lip completed her look flawlessly.

Ansh, complemented his lady love in a wine Bandhgala jacket and cream pants set from Qbik looking absolutely crisp and smart.
