About The Crimson Bride

Dear Readers

It was not very long ago that I was planning my own wedding in Australia. Although the wedding itself ended up being some of the most epic days of my life, the planning process was far less fun.

My wedding planning journey, like many others’, was an emotional roller coaster of trying to organize a four-day Indian wedding that would require spending a ridiculous amount of money in less than 12 months, whilst also managing the desires of various family members often living in different timezones.

Moreover, there were limited resources I could draw on for help – there was no central source of relevant style inspiration or advice that spoke to my modern tastes and requirements. Finding trusted local wedding professionals that could execute on my ideas was also difficult. In the end, communicating and working together with over 15 wedding professionals and family members across multiple platforms was not only inefficient but often resulted in costly misunderstandings. I was disheartened that in the 21st century when we have access to some of the most innovative technologies, there was no customized solution for brides and their families. There had to be a better way!

The Crimson Bride was thus born from the desire to minimize these frustrations for future brides. Starting out as a humble inspiration blog sharing my musings and experiences, The Crimson Bride has now evolved to become an online visual discovery platform that aims to simplify and innovate the way people design their weddings.

In this next iteration of The Crimson Bride, we have spent countless hours thinking about how we can leverage the power of technology to dramatically improve the wedding planning experience for brides. We want to increase the transparency and flow of information by building an online community that can help answer questions like “Where is that lehenga from?” or “How do I get that hair and makeup look?”. We want to help brides connect quickly and easily with the wedding professionals that can help bring their vision and story to life. Above all, we want to make wedding planning the fun and amazing adventure it should be.

This, of course, wouldn’t be possible with you, the users and supporters of The Crimson Bride. I want to thank you all for your continued support and feedback that pushes us to deliver our best. We are however only just getting started and would love to hear your feedback on the platform and how we can make it better. Please do not hesitate to send me your thoughts, questions or just a hello to simmi@thecrimsonbride.com – I would love to hear from you! Don’t forget to join us on social media @thecrimsonbride as well for endless inspiration.

I truly hope you take the time to enjoy this exciting journey ahead of you and I along with The Crimson Bride Team look forward to helping you every step of the way!

The Crimson Bride is modern, style-savvy and chic. She is an independent woman of the 21st century: driven and confident, but also practical, creative and down-to-earth. She is elegant in both her style and attitude. An adventurer who loves to have fun. She can be boldly avant-garde, but also in-tune with her culture.

The Crimson Bride knows that her wedding celebrations must be a reflection of who she is. It’s about expressing her story of love, culture, and heritage through each aspect and detail of her wedding and sharing these with her family and friends.

It’s these amazing stories of love, culture, and creativity that inspires us every day at The Crimson Bride. We are always blown away by the amount of thought and care the couples put into their celebrations in expressing who they are in so many unique and different ways. We feature some of the favourites in our Real Weddings articles in the hope it empowers more Crimson Brides to express their own stories. If you have a unique story to share with our community, we would love to hear from you at editorial@thecrimsonbride.com .
