Belinda & Ken’s Home Wedding Is All The Decor Inspiration You Need
For how the world of weddings has en masse switched from big fat celebrations to intimate shenanigans, the entire wedding styling & decor scenes too have undergone a turnaround. Majestic vedis have been taken over by minimal and open backdrop settings. Hefty elemental decor sprawling across huge spaces has turned compact and especially, with home weddings. But, does that stop us from getting married amidst the wedding decor of our dreams? Nope, definitely not!
Wedding planners and stylists are sparing no effort in using their creative expertise to breathe life into a couple’s wedding vision irrelevant of the space & setting restrictions. And Australian wedding planner & event stylist ANNA WANG are no less than the crème de la crème in this field.
ANNA WANG has been styling and curating intimate home weddings for quite some time now amidst the pandemic. They make sure to fashion the biggest day of their couples’ lives with an absolute flamboyance. And Belinda & Ken’s wedding is that one extravagance that’s a surreal telltale of what a mystical floral wonderland would look like!
An intimate celebration at their home in Strathfield, the duo’s wedding was a close-knit get together with just their parents, siblings, and immediate family members attending.
Decoding the details of the wedding decor, ANNA WANG explains, “The set up was done over two days as we styled the foyer of the home for a small dinner of 8. We first started moving in all our artificials to begin prepping for the stairway design. The vision for Belinda and Ken was to create a mesmerizing entrance for the bride and to have all the flowers wrap around them as they celebrate their special day and have dinner with their loved ones. We had blush, pink, and cream flowers coming across the foyer balcony and down the railing. We also added lots of green foliage to play with height, dropping some arrangements down to add dimension and elevate the room. At the end of the stairwell, we placed a bunch of flickering candles to add to the overall ambience of the room, which also doubled as a romantic photo spot for the bride and groom.”
Making us delve further into the deets of the decor for the second day, ANNA WANG says, “We returned and styled the centre table where Belinda and Ken would have lunch. Of course, all eyes were drawn to the showstopper centrepiece which featured all real flowers. Fresh roses and orchids made up the majority of the centrepiece with sprinkles of Viburnum everywhere. We also had tulips dropping down from the centrepiece which looked magical sitting amongst the hundreds of flowers sitting on top. Towards the bottom we played around with small touches of flowers surrounded by candle lights, with gold cutlery, gold table setting and white gold chairs to finish off.”
“Intimate weddings are one of my favourite events to style and they are just as beautiful as your bigger grand weddings. I was so fortunate to be able to be a part of Belinda and Ken’s wedding and so happy that they loved it!”, the stylist further quotes!
