The Details

Wedding Planning & Details

The wedding, hosted at Sayaji Hotel, Raipur, was a super intimate affair with only 36 people attending; exactly like the couple wanted! They planned the entire wedding themselves in about 15 days with Amreen getting the clothes ready under her own label NAMEH while, Nikhil took care of venue, decor, food, and the rest.

A soiree sans any formalities or cliché posing, the duo literally had the time of their lives and celebrated the biggest day of their lives with pure happiness. While the decor team at the hotel bedecked the venue for the ceremonies, Puru Mehta captured the prettiest frames for the couple and in the truest essence!

The Engagement Rings

Desiring wedding rings that are as simple as possible, the couple got bands for each other from Caratlane.

Haldi & Mehendi Ceremonies

The soiree kick-started with a fun and vibrant haldi-mehendi ceremony which was an at-home affair. The bride’s ceremony at her place was an all white and yellow affair topped with pretty greens. White and yellow drapes festooned with marigold garlands and floral strings made for the backdrop whereas, matching table settings and moodas completed the setup.

Mehendi Look

For the mehendi, Amreen fashioned a lime green Pakistani salwar-suit for herself topped with intricate embroideries and popping hues. The kurta boasted of slit sleeves that made it easier for her to get her mehendi done.

With no makeup and simple open hair, she kept her look absolutely natural and let her bridal glow make the most noise.

The Engagement

The engagement and sangeet evening at the hotel was themed around lilac and pink hues with a hearty dash of florals. While simplistic table settings made for guest seating, the couple seating stood out. It was put together using a baby pink seating with a wreath backdrop crafted in pastel-hued blooms, cascading glass baubles, and bulb strings.

Couple Looks

The couple went coordinating with the theme of the decor in their lilac ensembles. While Nikhil donned a cream kurta-pyjama set with an embroidered bandi, Amreen slipped into an intricately kalidaar kurta with Pakistani salwar.

She accessorized her look with statement danglers from Isharya, left hair open, and opted for a subtle yet radiant makeup.

The Wedding

A riot of pastel-hued flowers, white and pink drapes, and other elements, their wedding was a delightful affair to experience under the winter sun.

Couple Wedding Looks

The couple went all coordinating with each other in light blue hues and matching outfit embroideries. Clad in a stunning lehenga replete with gold and colorful embroideries, Amreen looked like a daydream. The outfit was further accentuated with a light coral dupatta, contemporary polki and pearl jewels from Isharya, and a pretty peach chooda.

While hairstylist The Twins Magic gave her a floral bun, makeup artist Charmi Thakral glammed her up with soft eyes, pale lips, and a naturally flushed base.

Nikhil, on the other hand, looked dapper in a Silk kurta-pyjama, a matching bandi, and a light coral turban to perfectly complement his lady love.

Tips From The Bride

  • Sleep well before the functions start. You are going to be very tired and it will show on your face. No amount of makeup can hide that and you will be very tired on the main day.
  • Keep it very very comfortable. You want to enjoy your main day so make sure your outfits are super comfy.
  • Have fun. Don’t get carried away with dressing up and other formalities. It’s your wedding. Dance around, have fun, and don’t worry about “what is going to look good.”
