About The Couple

Their Tale

Palak and Paras have known each other since high school and have quite literally grown up together. And as much of total opposites as they might be, they are each other’s best friends and with almost nine years of togetherness backing them up, they are all game to grow old together.

The Details

Wedding Planning & Details

Framed with an enchanting quintessence by the lens of Beginnings For You with cinematographers Rock Paper Scissors filming it all aesthetically, this beautiful soiree was hosted at the Golden Galaxy Resort, Faridabad.

Palak and Paras planned the entire wedding themselves and it was like the bride says, “the ultimate group project” which was intense and stressful at times yet absolute fun.

They envisioned their wedding to be easy, chiller, and a joyous affair for everybody. And that’s exactly how their wedding was—a breezy and comfy celebration that was bedecked exquisitely by the team of Shaadi Masala!

What stole our hearts though were Palak’s parents and especially, her dad! Since the duo wanted to tweak a few rituals they did not believe in, Palak’s dad as she says, “was open to doing away with Kanyadaan declaring that his daughter was not something to be given away!”

The Mehndi

A riot of dynamic hues like bright blue, yellow, and hot pink muted down with Ivory and beige, the day mehndi ceremony was a super happy affair.
Hearty florals, lush greens, and other quirky elements like crystal strings, thread tassels, and distinctively styled dreamcatchers together lent a balanced vibe of chic and pep to the event.

Palak's Look

Palak and Paras opted to go all coordinating for this ceremony in the hues of powder blue and white.

Palak looked fresh as a dewdrop in her all pastel blue and white look with a pop of red. Her stunning Vasansi lehenga which was gorgeously embroidered in white was further accentuated with red and white floral jewellery.

Hairstylist Rashid added a beautiful touch of freshness to her tousled braid by incorporating Baby’s Breath flowers and a dash of red Gerbera Daisy.
Makeup artist Neha Grover gave her a subdued look amped up with a deep mauve lip and matching eyeliner.

Paras's Look

Paras looked absolutely dapper in his Study by Janak achkan set which boasted of dainty floral bootis embroidered all over.

The Engagement-Cocktail

A glamorous and jazzy engagement and cocktail night followed the pristine mehndi ceremony. An outdoor setup fashioned heavily in white drapes, fairy lights, foliage, and shimmery strings, the decor for this night of partying was a whimsical sight to behold!

Couple Looks

The couple chose the classic and evermore looks for this event and looked absolutely striking and jazzed up together.

While Paras wore a Study by Janak black tuxedo with a hand embroidered waist coat, Palak went all glimmering in her embellished Sapphire blue lehenga by Mahima Batra from Asmairaa.

She ornamented her outfit with dainty diamond jewels while Rashid gave her a half-open hairdo with loose curls and Neha Grover lent her a flushed & subtle look with smokey-shimmery eyes.

Haldi Ceremony

A cheerful and boisterous ceremony marked in hues of yellow and orange, the couple’s haldi was about making merry like there’s no tomorrow.

The decor for the function was marked with orange and yellow drapes and marigolds topped with colorful umbrellas, thread tassels, and other cascading elements stitching it all together to the tee.

Palak's Haldi Look

While Paras wore a simplistic yellow kurta with Ivory pants, Palak looked radiant in her simple yellow saree. With half open hair minimally decked up in Baby’s Breath flowers, she looked beautiful in her natural bridal glow!

The Pheras

A dreamy pastel affair drenched in pastel pink, pale peach, and white, the decor for the pheras boasted of mystic vibes with a whiff of romance. Sorbet-hued florals coupled with greens, red roses, mogra garlands, and fairy lights made up for a surreal decor.

Whether it was Palak walking down the aisle to classical Indian music or the duo exchanging their jaimalas to a rendition of their favorite song, live flute played by Jeevan added soulful vibes to the entire ceremony.

Palak's Wedding Look

Palak looked like a dreamy muse in her customized dusty pink lehenga laden with pearl and zardozi work from Sangeeta Creations. She accessorized her look with an elaborate jadau set, and a dainty nath along with gorgeous haath-phools.

Rashid had Palak’s hair tied in a pretty bun accentuated with white roses and Baby’s Breath flowers. Whereas, Neha Grover gave her a flushed and highlighted base topped with glistening smokey eyes and a pale lip.

Paras's Wedding Look

Paras looked like a true royalty in his Deepak S. Chhabra Ivory sherwani replete with intricate floral embroideries. He paired it up with a matching stole, a baby pink safa, and four-stringed regal haar that lent a suave aura to his look.

The Reception

Set in a regal and palatial vibe, the reception decor was glamorously marked in hues of red, white florals and greens, chandeliers, fairy lights, and paper lamps.

The couple complemented the royal aura of the event and planned their looks accordingly. Palak slipped into a ruby red Ridhima Bhasin Anarkali marked with intricate thread and sequin embroideries.

A glorious ruby encrusted kundan & emerald choker set elevated her look while Rashid left Palak’s hair open in structured waves and Neha gave her a bold look with deep red lips and shimmery eyes.

Paras, on the other hand, donned a Lakshya Nagpal Achkan ensemble in the hues of black and Ivory paired up with a kani shawl.

Tips From The Bride

  • If your events are closely packed (like ours were) it is very important to have a time schedule in mind.
  • And finally (the most difficult part) abide by it. A delay of even half an hour can set you back sometimes.
