And for how we can’t get over the exquisiteness of this soiree, we’re sure it’s going to have you as floored as well.

About The Couple

Their Tale

Shania and Arvind met each other through their parents. Their parents have been friends for the last 20 years and he had always found Shania pretty. When he told his sister about this, a communication chain ensued with his sister telling their mum who then told this to Shania’s mom who gave Shania’s number to them when Arvind ended up texting her. They then started talking and well, it clearly worked out!

While they love travelling together they also love staying in and spending time with their families and pets or watching a movie or cooking together.

The Proposal

Shania and Arvind had been going ring shopping together a couple of times because they were getting their pair custom-made. But it was in March 2019 when the two were outfit shopping in India when he proposed to her in Golden Temple, Amritsar taking her by surprise.

The Details

Wedding Planning & Details

While Shania bookmarked all her inspiration and started working out on what she wants, Jessie Khaira Events ideated the entire wedding around them and using her creative geniuses crafted it all. They shopped for the outfits in Delhi and later Shania’s mom who owns Ishwar Jewellers, designed all her jewellery.

Arvind and Shania’s wedding was a grand one with lots of guests being a part of the celebrations. The ceremonies were all distinctively themed and were brilliantly framed and filmed by Banga Studios and Motion Films respectively.

Banke Titli Dill Uda (Sangeet)

Themed around “Banke Titli Dil Uda”, the sangeet at the Royal King Banquet Hall witnessed a heavy fern and foliage arrangement amped up with florals and of course, colorful butterfly cut outs.

Couple Looks

The couple for their sangeet slipped into Manish Malhotra ensembles looking traditional yet chic. While Arvind donned a kurta pyjama teamed up with a glimmering blue nehru jacket, Shania too slipped into similar hues.

Replete with blue sequin and thread embroideries, her white lehenga looked resplendent. She teamed it up with stunning polki jewellery marked with blue enameling while the team of Aquarius Art tied her hair in a neat bun and gave her bold eyelids, pale lips, and a blue bindi.

Nachde Ne Saare (Jaggo/Maiyan)

Hosted at the Fort Langley Community Hall, the ceremony was themed around purple and blue hues with colorful drapes, foliage and florals, and cascading cloth garlands marking the entire space.

Shania, for this function chose for herself a mesmerizing yellow Anita Dongre lehenga with a powder blue dupatta. She accentuated her look with striking gold jewels and Salon11 tied her hair in a gajra garland!

Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna

The mehndi ceremony was held at Shania’s parents’ home for which the decor was done in yellow with minimal florals. Shania wore a pretty rose pink gharara from Gyans and kept her hair and makeup super simple.

Choode Di Rasam

The chooda ceremony decor was all green and gold and looked uber peppy. Shania for this ceremony donned a beautiful pastel hued Anita Dongre ensemble pulling off a minimal look.

Din Shagna Da (Wedding)

A floral and pastel affair, the Anand Karaj’s setup was a surreal one.

Shania's Look

Shania, for the day, wore a beauteous red Rimple & Harpreet Narula lehenga laden with bold gold embroideries and a blend of hues like blue, pink, and deep red set in a geometric pattern. Traditional gold jewellery and subtle yet flushed makeup done by Aquarius Art completed her look flawlessly.

Arvind's Look

Arvind looked all princely in his olive green and gold Rimple & Harpreet Narula sherwani paired up with a beige flared kurta set.

The Reception at the Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver was centered around Gates of Versailles and hence, the decor was done in hues of black and gold. White flowers, candles, and a fairy lights ceiling made the space look magical.

Couple Looks

Arvind looked all crisp in his ivory and black David August tuxedo while Shania went all classic in a brown Manish Malhotra lehenga overflowing with sequin embellishments, appliques, and bold embroideries.

A neat side part bun, polki jewellery, and subtle makeup added multi folds to her look.
