About The Couple

Their Tale

The duo was in high school when they met each other at a mutual friend’s birthday party. As things started budding between them, a few months later, Natesh took her to lunch and then a cute park and asked her out to school prom. They dated each other for about eight years before finally tying the knot in a surreal soiree in Mexico.

Anvita and Natesh are total opposites, The bride says, “I was born in India, he is an ABCD who has only been to India once. I speak Hindi & he doesn’t understand anything besides English and some French. I watch Bollywood movies & he is not into movies at all. He LOVES rock and metal and I like romantic Hindi songs. He plays volleyball and I dance. But, we love to cook together, work out, watch TV shows, and go out on dates in New York. Most importantly, we love to eat out, especially Thai food, Indian food, and LOTS of dessert.”

The Proposal

Natesh asked Anvita’s sister Amiti to bring her to Central Park in New York City under the pretense that her college dance team was having a photo shoot. Both of them simply strolled along until Anvita saw Natesh, all dressed up, standing on huge rocks in the park. “He said since he loved rock music, it only made sense to give me a rock on a rock. Plus it was full circle since he had asked me to prom at a park too!”, the bride quotes.
