We’ve seen plenty of celebrity weddings and thanks to every detail documented on Instagram, it felt like we were there ourselves.

Just as with fashion trends, we have even seen wedding trends evolving year after year. From the outfits to decor and entertainment ideas, the celebrations are becoming more and more about the couple, and more personalized than ever before.

2019 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting wedding seasons and these are the brand new ideas as you start planning for your instagrammable wedding.

1) Wedding Colour Of The Year

Pantone has announced it's colour of 2019 and it’s our favorite - bright, sunny, pinky-orange colour named 'Coral'. It’s a great hue to incorporate into a day wedding (you’ll get great photos), and even into a night wedding via decor, dresses, cakes, flowers and your invites.

2) Simple Invites

The invitations are often the first hint to your guests, so it better has to be the best. With so many choices available in creative elements, couples are choosing traditional options with bespoke illustrations like calligraphy, monograms, or gold foilings such as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding announcement card.

3) Destination Weddings

We have seen a growth in destination weddings in 2018, and with celebrities like Anushka-Virat getting married in Tuscany, Deepika-Ranveer in Lake Como, and Priyanka-Nick in Udaipur, this trend will only increase in popularity in the upcoming year.

For 2019 we are predicting picturesque European locations including Lake Como, Croatia, and Mykonos.

4) Bold Colour Palette

2018 was a year of jewel tones including our favorite ‘crimson’, but in the upcoming year, we see a lot of bright and rich colors making its way to 2019 weddings.

Colors like burgundy, emerald and turquoise will be seen in all elements of the wedding ceremony and reception, including outfits, invites, decor, flowers and even kaleeras to create a fresh feel to your styling.

5) Natural Makeup On Your Wedding Day

Gone are the days when brides use to get fake eyelashes, glittery eyeshadows and heavy makeup base; now brides show off their bridal glow with minimal and natural makeup.

6) Wedding Hair With Flowers

Whether you want to channel your inner mermaid with a braid, let your curls settle on your shoulders or tie them into a classy-neat bun; weave fresh flowers into them for your oh-so-effortless look at your 2019 wedding.

7) Detailed Tulle Veil

First Meghan Markle at her wedding, then Deepika Padukone at her Mumbai wedding reception and then Priyanka Chopra at both her Hindu and Christian Palace wedding (still swooning over that 75 feet long veil), we have seen all of them splashing out on a veil that looks ultra-royal and gives a regal feel.

This trend is definitely going to be seen in 2019 weddings.

8) Return To Classics

While modern wedding décor is certainly on the rise, but there are couples who also want to bring back traditional design elements like silver candlesticks, linen napkins, crystal stemware, flower wall etc and give a timeless touch to their wedding.

Adding golden candelabras and red roses would also look great at an evening cocktail or reception.

9) Eco-Friendly Weddings

Couples are finding creative ways to make their wedding eco-friendly and giving back to the society by donating leftovers to local shelters, sending invites on biodegradable paper, gifting organic favours, opting for greenery installations or asking their guests to donate to charities rather than spend money buying them expensive gifts - just like Prince Harry-Meghan Markle and Deepika-Ranveer.

10) Intimate Weddings

We look forward to witnessing smaller weddings in 2019, as couples today look to optimize their wedding budget by choosing to invite only the closest friends and family and offering a better experience. You can also save this money, and spend it on your honeymoon!
