Glorious Punjabi Wedding With Stellar Couple Looks & Dreamy Decor

Weaved in a highly tasteful manner, the #ShawetaFoundHerButtarHalf wedding was planned and executed phenomenally by the bride’s mommy darling. With tons of research done beforehand, Shaweta had her mood board & vision all prepped up and all it needed was to be executed.

She says, “Instagram was always there for my rescue. The Crimson Bride helped me abundantly. The Real Weddings section always fascinated me & I always used to look at the section pinning and saving the ideas I loved. I always
had a vision of what I wanted. So, it was just about a matter of getting it done. I watched a lot of YouTube
wedding videos to have a better vision of how the look came together as a whole. I am lucky to be surrounded by fashionable family and friends so I had the exposure & I’d been attending exhibitions of various designers so, it was all about transforming my vision to reality.”

While most of their nuptials were hosted at the Silver Palm Resorts, Malout, Punjab, the venues did the decor themselves and brought the couple’s vision to life brilliantly!

What made their wedding more memorable were the teams of Sunny Dhiman Photography & Razz Nischal capturing the soiree quite remarkably & in aesthetic frames.

Themed ‘alluring’, the engagement ceremony officially kicked off the nuptials in a fancy style with the couple exchanging their rings amidst their close family and friends.

The decor spelled lush florals and romance for how the resort’s hall was gorgeously decked up in white and pink blooms with an elegant dash of the foliage’s green!

For the ceremony, Shaweta slipped into a surreal floor length Anarkali from Frontier Raas done in splendid hues of seafoam green and mauve and replete with sequin embroideries. With her outfit paired with a statement polki & emerald choker set from Jadgdish Jewellers, Patiala, she looked like a million bucks.

Kamna Sharma left her half tied hair in loose waves while giving her brown smokey eyes, flushed cheeks, and a rather subtle lip that let her outfit make the most noise.

Rupinder, on the other hand, perfectly suited up in a grey Hugo Boss attire with a white shirt and a complementing pink tie & turban.

The Jago was one bedazzling night of upbeat music, loads of performances, and fun that knew no bounds. Well, because Punjabis sure know how to party their hearts out!

The night started with the traditional and folk Punjabi boliyan and songs and soon turned into one crazy party that was on till the wee hours of the night. Drapes, colorful umbrellas, truckloads of fresh floral elements and lights marked the entire decor making it an enchanting sight to behold.

While Rupinder went all classic in a cream hued printed Nehru jacket and kurta set from Manyavar, Shaweta opted to go for a mix of subtle and bright.

She got herself a customized blush & hot pink sharara set from Akriti by Ritika & Shakun that was laden with beautiful gold and silver work. She paired it up with Needledust juttis and a striking chaand bali earrings & maang-tikka set dug out from her mommie’s treasure troves.

Shubhreet Sidhu glammed up Shaweta and made sure she shone throughout the night. And hence, she gave her shimmery eyes and nude lips along with half-tied hair left in curls.

Hosted at the bride’s home, the happy and spirited mehndi ceremony saw a vibrant burst of colors and hearty emotions. The entire decor for the day boasted of colorful and distinctive blooms.

Even the bride’s wreath seating was done in a variety of flowers accentuated with a golden monogram that said ‘Shaweta’s Mehndi’ in a stylish font.

Shaweta, for her mehndi, wore a peppy honey yellow Nilibar lehenga that was marked with colorful floral work all over.

She further decided to do her own hair and makeup and boy she was spectacular with that. While her eyelids had a matching pop of color, she painted her lips a bold red, and let her luscious locks open in loose curls.

Rupinder perfectly complemented her in a white kurta and printed silk vest from Manyavar which he teamed up with a vivid orange turban.

The couple’s grand wedding was at the Nuptial Knots and it was an extravaganza of extensive blooms and different elements all infused together.

The venue looked like a floral haven drenched in a plethora of flower arrangements, cascading garlands, and chandeliers. While the ceilings were further festooned with metallic balls, lamps, and entwined branched circles, the space had, like the bride says, “brilliant antique pieces beautifully scattered throughout the venue like the most vividly coordinating gorgeous chaos ever.”

Even the couple stage saw abundant blooms in the prettiest hues stitching it all together in a super flamboyant and exquisite manner. Our minds are blown tbh!

Shaweta opted for a quintessentially traditional red bridal look for her D-day and chose a statement red Sabyasachi lehenga. For that matter, it was her second dupatta done in a glorious jaal that set her look apart!

She went all extra with her bridal baubles that were a medley of an intricate & regal choker set complete with a maang-tikka & passa from Jaipur Diamonds, choora from Ra Abta by Rahul & kaleeras from Fashion Jewels, Ludhiana.

Famous makeup artist Samaira Sandhu gave her smokey-shimmery eyes and a pale pink lip while her hair were tied in a sleek floral bun.

Rupinder too went all traditional and royal in his Manyavar ensemble and his jewels. A peanut beige colored achkan done in bespoke dull gold thread & sequin embroideries, the outfit looked a class apart teamed up with a red stole and a matching turban.

His tan dabka embroidered shoes from Diwan Saheb, multi-stringed pearl necklace from Jaipur Diamonds, and a beauteous pearl, polki, & ruby kalgi from Mani Ram & Sons completed his look exceptionally.

The bride quotes, “The most unique thing at our wedding was a contract that Rupinder had to sign, in order
to get married to me, lol!!!. At the ribbon cutting ceremony, one of my cousins made a full-on contract, a statutory declaration, that he had to sign before being granted entry. It consisted the list of things he would agree to do and I would have proof for rest of my life. It was a funny way of enlightening him to what he should expect further living together.”

Hosted at the Narayangarh Resort, the enchanting reception decor was designed to exude a fairytale garden aura. The entire space was brimming with colorful and unique flowers, pastel hued printed drapes, and other elements like glimmering strings, huge flower vases, hanging cages, etc.

Shaweta, for the final showdown picked a heavily embellished offbeat pistachio hued ensemble from Shyamal & Bhumika soaked in regal vibes.

Gorgeous gold jewels coupled with a glam makeup & chic hairdo done by Neetu Antil, were the perfect finishing touches to her voguish look.

And alongside his lady, Rupinder looked all dapper and princely in a bottle green & cream achkan set from Gurudev Sons crowned with a beige turban.

• Trust your gut when making decisions about what to wear, where to have the wedding festivities & be happy. Don’t feel obligated for doing anything. Sure welcome suggestions but, don’t let your individuality die. It’s YOUR wedding after all.
• Don’ t forget that it’s the guy’s wedding as well. Don’t impose your ideas but weave a mutual vision together. Share the responsibilities. You should not be the only one going all cuckoo over everything. Working together will even help you bond well & it’ll teach you cooperation.
• NEVER keep secrets from your fiancé. They need to like you even at your worst. Life isn’t going to be bed of roses and you can’t be a perfect wifey 24×7. BE BEST FRIENDS FIRST!!
• Lighten your to-do list & divide the tasks between people who you know would actually be wanting to truly help you and would do the tasks heartily.
• If you know you want to be married, start bookmarking the outfits, the decor styles & photo poses you would want as it would help the vendors understand your vision.
• Start skin care regimen at least 3 months prior to your wedding. Avoid new products & treatments 4 weeks prior especially, if it’s your first time getting those treatments.
• Don’t forget to thank your parents as they literally spend their lifetime savings on your big day. My husband
  and I planned a trip for them as they need to chill as well.
