About The Couple

Their Tale

Ayushi and Ankit have known each other since their college days when the first time she noticed him was during dinner in the mess. She had already heard a lot about him from all their common friends which always had her wondering, “kaun hai yeh banda?”
On the night they met, they had both ended up sitting at the same table with their mutual friends and of course, she could feel Ankit noticing her too. “I personally like to think he was hooked since then but, truthfully we really started talking after college was over,” the bride connotes.

Wedding Planning & Details

This destination celebration across Udaipur was a magnificent mix of quirky and timeless with contemporary and traditional, under a blanket of upbeat and elegantly royal. Yes, it was exactly everything at once weaved brilliantly!!

Curated and styled phenomenally by Boss Events and framed equally enchantingly by the team of Jodi Clickers, the #AnshiFellInLove soiree was stitched together from the beginning until the end perfectly.

The Arrival

Their flight from Kolkata to Udaipur was like the bride says, “an event in itself” with various games about the couple, flight entertainment magazine with information about the bridegroom, and customized travel folders to keep it all jazzed up!

While the baraatis came with all the sho-sha, the bride got her henna done the same day itself for which she went casual in a sequined top & denim shorts teamed up with a funky ‘Dulhaniya’ earrings-maag tikka-ring set.

Welcome Dinner

Hosted at the Shiv Niwas Lawns, a chiller yet regal looking welcome dinner kick-started the revelries on a low-key yet, magnificent note. The decor for the evening was kept minimal accentuated with an abundant use of lights. The chandeliers and fairy lights glowing against the red and the dark created a warm and super cozy ambience.

Couple Looks

The couple chose to channel their glam quotient for the evening and went all regal and voguish with their looks. While Ankit looked absolutely dapper and crisp in a black Gaurav Gupta tuxedo, Ayushi looked all princessy in her blazing red Sulakshana Monga crop top and skirt ensemble.

Marked with sequins and structured ruffles, her outfit was further teamed up with dainty diamond jewels which added to its glory. While makeup artist Jas Sahota gave her bold smokey eyes and pale lips, hairstylist Deepak Sheshodiya left her heavy mane open in hard curls and pinned them from one side.

The Colorful Mehndi

An hearty blend of color and culture, the day at the Shiv Niwas Lawns witnessed a riot of hues and a glint of Rajasthan but, of course, in a rather urban way.

While the lawns were bedecked in sorbet-hued blooms, the bridal jhoola was one spectacular showstopper! Set beneath a tree, the traditional silver-hued jhoola boasted of a hefty foliage backdrop further accentuated with hefty tubroses and roses.

When on one hand, an adorable flash mob by the groom side with Ankit entering on ‘Sajan Ji Ghar Aye’¬†swept Ayushi off her feet, the Langa Troupe had everyone swooning over their art & performances.

Ayushi's Mehndi Look

Ayushi chose to have her mum’s wedding lehenga redesigned for her mehndi and boy, how splendid it turned out! A one shoulder emerald green crop top with an added drape, it was coupled with a pink embroidered skirt with personalized latkans.

A pearl stringed rani-haar and heavy waterfall earrings infused with pretty matching floral jewellery made up for her glorious baubles.

While her open heavily curled hair were left open and lightly tucked with her waterfall earrings, her soft shimmery pink eyes with a pretty lip added umpteens to her look.

Ankit's Mehndi Look

Ankit went traditionally casual in his Alok & Harsh ensemble that was a mix of white kurta & churidaar set along with an electric blue Nehru jacket replete with Ivory & beige embroideries.

Glitz & Glamour Sangeet

Hosted at the Zenana Mahal, this night of bling and Bollywood saw grandeur like never before. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the LED mammoth stage with the mahal itself making up for its backdrop. While Jay Bhanushali, being the emcee, kept everybody entertained through the evening, the dance performances were clearly a sight to behold.

Ayushi's Sangeet Look

Ayushi went all glimmering in a breathtaking blush pink Ombre lehenga from Tarun Tahiliani that screamed opulence.

Heavenly diamond and ruby jewellery from Badalia Gems flamboyantly accentuated her look while Deepak gave her a pretty half-tied hairdo and Jas Sahota gave her bold shimmery eyes and a glossy pink lip.

Ankit's Sangeet Look

Ankit, for the evening, wore an intricately embroidered bandhgala and pants set from Shantanu and Nikhil in the hues of wine and looked absolutely handsome next to his lady love!

The Haldi

Done in white and yellow drapes and orange and yellow marigolds, the decor for haldi was subtle yet cheerful. The ceremony was definitely a riot of laughter and heartwarming cheer.

Ayushi's Haldi Look

While Ankit donned a pastel yellow and white kurta pyjama, Ayushi dolled up aesthetically in a simplistic yellow and orange lehenga done in bold mirror work.

She accessorized her look with surreal floral jewels and kaleeras from Florenza and while Jas lined her light shining lids with bold eyeliner and her lips a deep red, Deepak tied her hair up in a beautiful braid.

The Wedding

The couple took their pheras at the plush properties of Jagmandir Palace and their wedding day was, as the bride says,“dream come true!”

The wedding decor was a marvelous blend of traditional florals like roses, tuberoses, Baby’s breaths, ferns and foliage, etc. It was a surreal infusion accompanied with ambient lighting.

Ayushi's Wedding Look

For her pheras, the bride looked like a gorgeous vision to behold in an olive and dusty pink heavily embellished Rimple & Harpreet Narula lehenga which she paired up with their splendid red bandhani dupatta.

She went absolutely glorious with her jewels and picked up an oversized polki and emerald set from Raj Mahtani Couture that make her look like a true maharani.

To complete her look equally traditionally, Deepak tied Ayushi’s hair in a neat rose & Baby’s Breath bun whereas, Jas Sahota gave her shimmering gold eyelids, a flushed base, and a bold lip.

Ankit's Wedding Look

Ankit coordinated with his wifey in a Rimple & Harpreet Narula ensemble himself and wore an olive sequin jaal flared sherwani with a red embroidered stole.

He accentuated his look with a pale peach safa and and a gorgeous three-stringed pearl mala.
