About The Couple

Their Tale of Love

Jaskirat and Sujinder lived in two different sides of the world— she in Canada and he in Singapore. They met each other through an arranged setup and knew that this was meant to be.

Even though they’ve known each other for only seven months now but, they made sure to make the most of this courtship period together and spend some quality time with each other. They both kept meeting often either in Canada or in Singapore or In India while planning their wedding together. During this time they not only enjoyed catching up with each other’s homies, preparing for wedding performances, and shopping but they also figured out each other well. They both enjoy working out together and enjoy the peace & quiet over a cup of coffee.

Jaskirat further quotes, “In my opinion, we are a fun couple who is adventurous, likes to socialize, try out new things, think with a creative mind, not shy away from challenges and love to be around family and friends.”

The Details

The Wedding Ring

While Jaskirat gave Sujinder a rose gold Cartier love band that complements his style and personality, Sujinder got her a round cut diamond on a single halo with a diamond band along with an additional diamond band.

Wedding Planning

The couple’s destination wedding in Phuket, Thailand at the Splash Beach Resort was an intimate yet an extravagant affair that was planned all by the bride along with her sister, mommy, mommy-in-law and of course, the groom. With inspiration from several social media platforms, their own creative minds, and a few trips to Delhi, together they weaved a wedding perfect to be awed at and remembered for a lifetime. With Sunny Dhiman Photography & Razz Nischal capturing the celebration in an aesthetically tasteful manner, Wizkim Wedding crafting flawless decor and Social Nomad Designs curating the stationery, banners, and signages, the wedding surely has got us weak in the knees.

Mehndi Ceremony

The mehndi was hosted in India for which Jaskirat slipped into s breezy and peppy Gazal Gupta ensemble amped up with orange floral embroideries over it. She accessorized her look with minimal makeup and charming gota and floral earrings.

Her gorgeous mehndi etched by Reetu’s Mehndi was a surreal mix of geometric designs, portraits and blossoming florals.

Dhol-Jaggo Night

The oil ceremony followed by a dhol and jaggo night was done at the bride and groom’s respective villas in the resort in a traditional Punjabi way. For the night, Sujinder wore lime green and cream dhoti kurta set from Vavci vibing it up with a hot pink turban matching with Jaskirat’s Banarasi hot pink dupatta.

Pairing that dupatta with a green gharara suit, a gold choker set from Malliram Jewellery House, and matching metal bangles, the bride’s ensemble was on point for a vibrant jaggo point. Shahid Naar topped off her look flamboyantly with comparatively subtle eyes, bold lips and prettily tucked half-tied hair by Manie.

Welcome Lunch

The welcome lunch was the perfect time for all the guests to relax and mingle with each other having a fun time. The entire walkway upto the restaurant of the resort, Baan Thai, and its surrounding outdoors were decked up in fairy lights, lanterns, drapes, umbrellas, etc. The pastel-hued floral wreath backdrop with cascading glass balls and the couple names’ monogram was undoubtedly the highlight.

Welcome Lunch Looks

For the event, Jaskirat wore a pastel mauve Ridhi Mehra flowy gown embellished with sequined embroideries and feather detailing. She teamed her attire with Malliram Jewellery House diamond & emerald earrings, a statement ring and a dainty bracelet. Leaving her hair open with soft smokey eyes and a wine-brown lip, Shahid Naar lent her a dramatic yet graceful look.

Sujinder, on the other hand, wore a jade green & white kurta-pajama from Vavci with a bright pink turban.

Shagan & Sangeet

The shagan and sangeet ceremonies were back-to-back celebrated at the resort’s Grand Ballroom and was a jazzed up groovy affair with loads of dance performances and traditional and Punjabi songs being sung by ladies. The decor was primarily marked by tones of fuchsia, orange, yellow, and green. Drapes, marigold arrangements, signages, stick miniature bulbs, huge tassels, and lights made up for the entire joyous decor.

The Shagan Looks

While Sujinder looked all dapper in a deep bottle green kurta and cream pants from Qbik with a yellow turban and gold neckpiece, Jaskirat complemented her elegantly in lighter hues of the same palette. She slipped into an intricately embroidered Gazal Gupta lehenga in hues of yellow and lime green. While the skirt and dupatta were replete with fine floral sequin work and oversized latkans, the choli boasted of golden and yellow thread embroideries with small floral bootis. She bejeweled her look further with a striking kundan-polki meenakri set with emeralds from New Lakshmi Ornament House.

Shahid Naar gave her smokey shimmery eyes and a pink lip while Manie had Jaskirat’s hair in a perfect decked up braided hairstyle.

Jaskirat's Sangeet Look

For the following Sangeet, she changed into a dreamy Abhinav Mishra lehenga in his statement mirror work. A pink skirt with a floral choli and cream dupatta, the lehenga paired up with a gorgeous choker set from Bhrata Ji Jewelers and a neat bun further took her radiance a notch above.

The Wedding Day

After an early morning milni & haldi ceremony, everybody headed out to the Phuket Gurudwara for the Lawan. The rest of the day and ceremonies were planned back in the resort’s Grand Ballroom. Lunch, a live band, and fun games awaited the entourage and the day was super fun and happening one. The decor was kept subtle with the use of pastel pinks, whites, and crystals. White drapes with hanging glass and flower balls, foliage arrangements and lamps made for the entrance and the rest of the decor. Whereas, a huge backdrop made with rose gold metal frames with flower décor against a marble backdrop, the couple’s initials, and baby’s breath arrangements with lamps stood out.

Jaskirat's Look

For the perfect summery vibes, Jaskirat chose the peach ‘Luna Lehenga’ from Anita Dongre‘s ‘A Summer Reverie’ collection laden with sage accents, colorful thread work and pearl-sequin embroideries paired with mint green dupattas.

Breathtaking emerald-polki choker neckpiece with huge jhumkis and matha-patti from Shrihari Diagems by Anirudh accessorized her look voguishly. While Manie tied up her hair in a neat mogra bun, Shahid Naar gave her beautiful brown lips, defined cheekbones, and light shimmery smokey eyes in brown and rose gold.

Sujinder's Look

Sujinder coordinated with his wifey in an Anita Dongre sherwani overflowing with colorful floral embroideries and paired up with a silk kurta and linen trousers. His peach turban beautifully complemented Jaskirat’s outfit and the five-stringed emerald necklace lent a royal look to him.

The Reception

The couple’s western wedding-cum-reception was a fulfilling affair ending the #jasindermoment on a happy note. While the vows were taken on the beach, the rest os the ceremony including the first dance, speeches, and dinner was hosted indoors because of rains. The event was one hep of a party with everybody drinking and dancing their hearts out.

Jaskirat donned a beautiful powder blue Gaurav Gupta gown with delicate champagne gold work all over and his statement structured ruffled neckline. A matching veil and exquisite diamond jewellery in white gold completed her look opulently. While Shahid Naar gave her electric eyelids and a pale pink lip, Manie tied her hair in a sleek low bun.

Sujinder, on the other hand, pulled off a simple yet elegant look with a white linen Vavci suit and powder blue turban.

Tips From The Bride

  • I know how much of a control freak girls are but please don’t be that for your wedding. Don’t try to be in charge of everything. Use the help where needed; your family or friends. Find out who’s good at what and assign duties at an early stage of your wedding planning.
  • The first tip was for before the wedding events start during the planning stage. During the events don’t micromanage and rather focus on the big picture otherwise the memories you’ll take away with you from your wedding will not be very nice.
  • Don’t risk by trying out new vendors for your big day. Maybe test them with a small event first and see if you like them. And make sure you select vendors that are as passionate about their jobs as you are for your wedding.
