A Throwback To Isha Ambani & Anand Piramal’s Starry Wedding

This time last year was all about the much awaited celebrity weddings of the year and hence, this year is all about their first anniversaries and us reminiscing over their soirees. The biggest wedding of the year 2018, The Ambani Wedding, left us all agape for the lavishness and extravagance that we all got to witness.

Right from their magical engagement in Italy and freakin’ Beyonce performing on the Sangeet to the star-studded affair that the entire celebrations were, Isha Ambani & Anand Piramal’s wedding had more surprises and grandeur that one could even imagine.
In fact, without any ado, let’s take you through their opulent wedding festivities all over again because once was just not enough!

Isha and Anand got engaged in September 2018 at the whimsical Lake Como, Italy. Right from the dreamy floral decor to Anand in sherwani and Isha in a princessy Dolce & Gabbana gown, every single detail about the engagement was straight from a fairytale. And of course, John Legend performed too!

The wedding revelries kicked off with a dandiya night at Antilia for which Isha wore a blush Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga with colorful hand embroideries.

For the Grah Shanti Puja, she slipped into a custom hand painted and hand embroidered Sabyasachi lehenga with polki & emerald jewellery.

The pre-wedding festivities at Udaipur began with a hearty day ceremony followed by a high on Bollywood happening sangeet night. For the day, Isha donned a blingy pink Manish Malhotra lehenga and for the sangeet night, she slipped into a glimmering golden Manish Malhotra lehenga looking no less than a star bride.

While so many stars performed that night, the show stopper unquestionably was Beyonce setting the stage on fire in chic and glam outfits from master couturiers like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Falguni Shane Peacock, and Shivan & Narresh.

Back to Mumbai, the royal wedding with the entire industry marking their presence, was hosted at the Ambani residence, Antilia, which was decked up in the most spectacular and aweing manner.

For the ceremony, Isha Ambani slipped into an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble. A 16 panelled ghaghra in two shades of off-white done in intricate embroideries, mukaish and zardosi work, sequins and crystals, she teamed up the lehenga with a red dupatta and exquisite jewellery.

The wedding was followed by receptions for which Isha and her fam dressed up in sartorial outfits. While for one of the receptions Isha Ambani wore the first and only lehenga designed by Maison Valentino enriched with gold embroideries.

For the next reception, Isha along with her mum dad coordinated in statement Sabyasachi ensembles looking regal as ever.
