About The Couple

Their Tale

Asma and Sarib had met each other eight years ago as his sister and her cousin were best friends but, it wasn’t until 2017 that they actually started talking a lot. He had a crush on her for the past four years while they were just friends and when they went out on their first date in 2017, it lasted for eight hours!

The two are more like best friends and share an adventurous soul. And for their shared love for food, the two also love trying out new cuisines and cooking together! Spilling the beans the bride quotes, “He is very romantic. He is chivalrous and we are old school like that. He likes to hold the door for me and shower me with roses even now that we are married. This flame can never die down!”

The Proposal

Sarib flew all the way from Dubai to Delhi along with Asma’s sisters to propose to her on her birthday with a bouquet of 100 roses! *How oh-so-sweet!*

The Details

Wedding Planning & Details

Asma and Sarib’s was a destination wedding in Kashmir with a very intimate and rustic setup. For always desiring a lake side wedding and fun outdoor mehndi specifically, Asma knew exactly what she wanted. Planners Athwaas Kashmir Events were the perfect ally to her and curated the couple a wedding of their dreams!

Yogesh Dabas and his team, on the other hand, used the magic of their lenses and their craft and captured the entire wedding exceptionally.

The Lakeside Mehndi

The colorful haldi ceremony was next day followed by the mehndi at the Nigeen Club. The lakeside canopy bridal seating was done in the hues of white, blue, and yellow and was further accentuated using ferns and white floral arrangements, wooden boxes, and silver candelabras.
A wooden backdrop decked up with floral decor and lots of lights made up for that eye-catching photo booth.

Mehndi Day Look

For the day time, Asma opted for a bottle green embellished gharara set by Ministry Of Design wherein, the high-rise bell sleeves added that tinch of oomph to the outfit.
She further teamed up her outfit with Fizzy Goblet juttis while her small polki nath and oversized polki & pearl jhumar headpiece with cascading chand baalis undoubtedly stole the show!

With a chic hairdo, shimmery eyelids and pop of color on lips, Makeup By Fizz completed Asma’s look uniquely!

Evening Look

She later in the evening changed into a rose taupe Jayant & Rajesh Raj ensemble laden with silver sequin embroideries.

While she paired it up with stunning diamond jewels, Masrat Makeovers gave her soft smokey-shiny eyes, pale lips, and left her locks open in waves.

The Nikah

A nighttime ceremony, the nikah was an all white floral themed affair. A white tent heavily decked up with white florals, lush greens, cascading lamps & cages and colored lights, the decor for the evening was a truly whimsical one.
A Shikara by the lake was used as a photo booth to exude some authentic Kashmir vibes.

Asma's Look

For her wedding, Asma wore a white hued lehenga from Myraa replete with golden dabka and zari work along with French knot work in white and sequins. She paired up her mesmerizing outfit with striking matching jewels from Rama Krishna Jewellers.
Her jewellery was a tasteful mix of chand baali collar necklace set in blush pink enameling, a panchlada, an over sized passa, and gold bangles.
Masrat, for the d-day gave Asma a neat side-part bun, smokey eyes, and a mauve lip.

Sarib's Look

Sarib opted for a contrasting hue and donned a black bandhgala by Rohit Bal laden with bold golden thread embroideries.

The Reception

The Walima was hosted at the Moghul Mahal for which the couple wore absolutely royal looks.

While Sarib wore a black three-piece tux from Megaan looking all dapper, Asma too looked all regal in her heavily embroidered Asiana Couture lehenga. She wore a maang-tikka for this function while keeping the rest of her jewellery same as the Nikah and sported a rather bold wine lip.
