As if planning your trousseau, decor, favors, and deciding your final wedding look wasn’t enough, let’s add a coronavirus pandemic to the list.
This thought has been on the mind of many couples who were to get married during this time or about to be married soon. But there are couples who just wanted to be with each other and start their life as husband and wife at the earliest in spite of this pandemic.
Such is the Delhi wedding of Cheshta & Vipul who got married in a small ceremony in the presence of only 30 people. The wedding happened at the Gurudwara, taking all the possible precautions like wearing a mask, sanitizing the whole Gurudwara, and make sure everybody is safe and healthy.
We got a chance to speak to the bride, Cheshta and she happily shared the insights of her wedding with her long time beau, Vipul.
How did you two meet?
Cheshta, a tarot card reader and a numerologist by profession met Vipul, a businessman at a mutual friend’s party, and eventually, they started chatting on Instagram which continued for 3 months. Later when they exchanged their phone numbers, they spoke for straight 5 hours on the very first day. Yes, you read it right…5 hours!
Vipul took the first step and confessed his feelings to the love of his life, Cheshta and there has been no looking back since then.
What were the original plans to get married?
The couple got engaged earlier and decided to get married on April 26, without knowing that their original date would need to be postponed in light of the pandemic Coronavirus.
Cheshta & Vipul were sure to not delay their wedding any further, so when the Government gave some relaxation on the movement, they decided to get married in a Gurudwara nearby with their closest friends and family on May 24.
The bride, Cheshta shares: “My husband Vipul always wanted to have a grand wedding with multiple functions and large gatherings. But what we had was 1000 times better than what we actually planned, as it was god’s plan and we are so grateful.”
How difficult has it been getting married during COVID 19?
The couple only had three days to make all the preparations and get married. Their outfits were not delivered, jewellery was not picked, trousseau wasn’t packed, and so on.
Cheshta shares, “Luckily we were able to arrange the outfits, the makeup artist, and even the photographer was also available on the postponed date. We couldn’t be happier with the pictures as they are trending all over the internet.”
How many family members were a part of your wedding?
Cheshta said – “Getting married with just my closed ones and that too in an Anand Karaj ceremony was itself complete for me. I am so thankful and grateful to God that things happened this way and at this time, as there is nothing more that I or Vipul could have asked for. We literally had our dream wedding in the presence of just 30 people – so simple, quick, sweet, and peaceful.”
Tips for to-be-brides planning their wedding during these uncertain times
Cheshta shares this beautiful message for the brides to be going through this situation, “Just keep the faith and believe in God’s plan as that is going to be the most favorable for each one of you. Everything will fall out in place in the end.”
