The Details

Wedding Planning & Details

Hosted at the palatial property of Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Muscat, Palak & Aditya’s wedding was an avant-garde affair fashioned in all its extravagance and finery. For their love for Scuba Diving and the ocean, the duo chose Oman, and each and every team that worked with them made sure to make it all larger than life!

The team of ace planners Momente Weddings together with decor designers Devika Narain & Company curated each event in a way that it stood out from the rest and yet, contributed to an experience as a whole that this wedding was.

The crown to this wedding’s glory was the team of House On The Clouds that captured every bit of this wedding in dreamy and timeless frames!

The Arabic Souk With Mehendi

The three day celebration kick-started with an Arabic Souk Mehendi, the decor for which was set up in the plush lawns. It was themed around the middle east market vibes breathing in vibrant colors and lights. While stringed bulbs attached with long poles made for a lit up roof under the open skies, both lower seating and tablescapes sprawled on the ground beneath.

Colorful printed upholstery in the form of drapes, rugs, table runners, cushions, etc., adorned the place while terrariums, lamps, vases, colorful blooms and foliage completed the entire setup.

Couple Looks

For the Arabic Souk Mehendi, Palak slipped into a eclectic black Sabyasachi lehenga laden with multi-hued embroideries and applique work topped with sequins. She teamed it up with a glorious emerald choker encrusted with huge uncut diamonds and matching bangles paired with gajra kadas.

While her hair were done in a half-tie style coupled with waves, shimmery eyes and a bright pink lip completed her look. Aditya, on the other hand, donned a marsala-hued bandhgala kurta and dhoti set by Antar-Agni.

The duo later changed into comfy sweats & PJs for their after party!

The Haldi Ceremony

Hosted under the sunshining skies, the outdoor haldi ceremony was all things green, rustic, and citrusy. The entire decor boasted of fresh greens, mandarins, and lemons. While an all-green mandap festooned with mandarins and strings of its slices complete with wooden crates stood like a showstopper, wooden chairs and trees accentuated with ribbons topped it all.

The table settings paired with gold Tiffany chairs were clad in white table covers bedecked with floral and foliage vases and lots of mandarins and lemons.

The Beach Party

The haldi ceremony was subsequently followed by an European-themed beach party. The entire decor for the day party was crafted in hues of white topped with blue cushions some greens, ropes, wooden elements, and fun signages.

While an adorable favor station including assorted hats, portable fans, sunscreens, and parasols added a pinch of quirk to the event, DJ Aman with his team, mentalists, and mime artists kept everybody entertained.

Palak's Look

Palak went fun and effervescent in a white Rahul Mishra dress laden with colorful embroideries and sequin work which she teamed up with wavy flower-accentuated hair, bold eyes, and a mauve lip.

Aditya's Look

Aditya too, complemented the vibe of the event in a white Ritu Sekksaria suit and a printed shirt set looking all crisp and casual.

The Sangeet Night

Desiring a happening club feel for their Sangeet night, the evening was all about music and jazzy lights. A paparazzi team as a live photo op welcomed everybody where they could take pictures at. The night was all about dance performances, fun, and some more grooving.

For the evening, while Palak looked sizzling in a deep marsala-hued Manish Malhotra ensemble marked with bold embroideries, Aditya looked dashing in his black bandhgala by Deepak Parwani.

The Beach Pheras

The most surreal and heavenly ceremony of all, the couple’s pheras on the beach were a sight to behold. Set against the dreamy backdrop of a horizon where the ocean met the sky, the traditionally rustic mandap was a sheer visual treat. The wooden mandap boasted of white minimal drapes, lots of flowers and greens, brass vessels, traditional chairs, and a chandelier.

Gorgeous blooms, greens, and pampas-lined aisle added all the happy colors to the entire setting while wooden chairs and stringed bulbs completed it all flawlessly.

Palak's Wedding Look

For her sunset wedding, Palak slipped into the Sabyasachi Dil Guldasta lehenga to complement the ceremony’s floral theme. She accessorized her look with an uncut diamond choker set, a matching maang-tikka, and red glass bangles.

While her hair were tied-up in a neat bun, soft-brown smokey-shimmery eyes, and a popping lip stitched up her look to a tee.

Aditya's Wedding Look

Like how lush foliage complements colorful blooms, Aditya too was in sync with his bride in a quilted emerald green sherwani from Sabyasachi. He paired it up with a matching stole and safa set, and a three-stringed kundan and green beaded mala.

Sit-Down Dinner

The wedding was then followed by a five course sit-down formal reception dinner. Elegant round and long tablescapes bedecked with flowers, greens, classy tableware, candles, and personalized elements took over the lawns while stringed bulbs under the night sky made for the roof above.

While a violinist elevated the ambience during the cocktail hour, the evening also had in store different gigs like a moving puppet show, a musical trio, and a ballet performance.

The dinner soon turned into a groovy after party where everybody let their hair down and danced the night away!

Palak's Look

For her finale look, Palak channeled her inner diva in a Maison Yeya off-shoulder gown that boasted of bling and a side slit. With poker straight hair complemented by flushed eyes, and a popping lip, she ornamented her look with a dainty diamond string set.

Aditya went all crisp and dapper in his black three-piece tuxedo by Govinda.
