By Divya Arora .

For how the grandeur and sho-shaa of big-fat Bollywood style weddings is worth going gaga over, the warmth and intimate vibes of a close-knit affair is simply so wholesome. From taking your pheras in the presence of your favorite people to enjoying every bit of it to the fullest like it’s one big party, everything about intimate weddings resonate with love & happiness in their truest essence.

The world of weddings learning to make the most of and revel in this new normal has led to an outpour of ideas and trends that are inspiring couples to join this bandwagon like never before. And one such bundle of ideas and tasteful choices is a collaborative shoot—‘The Intimate Wedding’ that summarizes a close-knit affair in the most stylish & extravagant way possible.

Being their social media partners, we previously decoded their planning and decor aesthetics put together by ace wedding curators—Styl.Inc Wedding Stylists, RashiNidhi Events, and Chapter 2 Events (C2E) along with the lens and direction of Shutterdown Photography. And this time around we’re going to aid you with yet another aspect of an intimate affair that the shoot mastered to a tee—the makeup and styling.

Right from the outfits and jewellery to the makeup and hair, wedding looks of both the bride and the groom, even their families and best friends have flair to shape the vibe of the entire wedding theme. And the styling and makeup inspiration that this shoot has in store for all the to-be-weds out there is unparalleled.

With a belief that your wedding look should only be making a statement and nothing less, Styl.Inc Wedding Stylists and celebrated makeup artist Jasmeet Kapany conceptualized & designed everybody’s looks magnificently. While Jasmeet dolled up the bride herself, her team of expert makeup artists and hairstylists Hair By Farita, Shaivee Verma, and The Powder Room glammed up the bridesmaids & family members. The upshot was exactly how it had been envisioned—elegant yet glamorous, light & breezy yet festive!

If you’ve been seeking some ‘high-on-style wedding looks’ inspiration for your intimate soiree then this shoot’s ideas and finesse are all you’d need!

The Blissful Champagne Picnic Haldi

Since the modern day sit down picnic haldi ceremony was all about revelling under the sun with the loved ones, the team opted for equally chic and effervescent looks for everyone. Matching up to the sparkling champagne and delectable desserts, the entire entourage’s looks were planned to be a perfect balance of bling and sorbet-hues to make the entire setting look intimate yet swanky!

For the bride, a fun and fuss-free white crop top & skirt set from Papa Don’t Preach was chosen so that she could frolic away this joyous affair happily and freely. While the outfit’s statement 3D embroidery added whimsical hints of colors, the lightweight & quirky jewellery & kaleeras topped her look with a dash of playfulness. Half-tied wavy hair, light smokey eyes, flushed cheeks, and a popping lip were all the vivaciousness that her look needed.

The groom coordinated with his bride in equal bling and was donning a striking Abhinav Mishra kurta laden with mirror work that made him stand out!

Both the bride’s girlfriends and the groomsmen made merry and looked their voguish best in Payal Singhal ensembles fashioned in the prettiest of hues and prints. The bridesmaids slipped into beautiful pastel-hued lehengas crafted in distinctive silhouettes and styles further accentuated with tassels, pompoms, and intricate embroideries. Their outfits were teamed up with quirky jewels by Ornamaas, easy and casual hairstyles, and stunning makeup.

The handsome hunks, whereas, were wearing kurtas and bandis in gorgeous hues and blooming prints for a traditional yet modish vibe.

Keeping up with the aesthetics of this celebration, the parents too went flamboyant in outfits that were an elegant fusion of style and comfort. While the fathers looked dapper in their Payal Singhal kurta and bandi sets, the mums were drenched in grace in their suits by Patine.

The Sundowner Vows

With “less is more” as the underlying ideology for this ceremony, fresh pastel hues, easy-going outfits, and effortlessly stylish looks were planned for everybody. The duo for their rituals slipped into Sahil Kochhar outfits replete with fine thread and sequin embroideries.

The bride slipped into a dusty rose lehenga paired with glorious polki jewels and stacked bangles. To top off her look with a whiff of contemporary edge, her hair was left open in soft waves that were further entwined with subtle makeup and soft-shimmery eyelids to stitch the look to a tee.

The groom, clad in a sage green sherwani teamed up with a multi-stringed emerald haar, matched up to his lady love spectacularly while also standing out in his uniqueness.

Since intimate wedding also calls for lightweight and easy-breezy looks for bridesmaids, printed lehengas from Ritu Kumar boasting of minimal embroideries were chosen for them. Crafted in romantic hues, blossoming prints, and sultry necklines, the lehengas were every bit timeless and chic. Paired with dainty yet colorful jewels, effortless open hairstyles and subdued makeup completed their looks flawlessly.

And while the girls swooned us with their showstopping looks, the groomsmen inspiration we bet, will get all heads turning! Looking dapper in their Rajesh Pratap Singh ensembles, the men wore traditional outfits like achkan, kurta sets, and bandis in both pastel and dynamic hues.

Perfect for an outdoor sundowner soiree, the color palette for the parents varied from muted tones for dads to cupcake-y hues for mommies. While the couple’s fathers donned classic Rajesh Pratap Singh sherwanis, the mothers looked like a daydream in embroidered sarees from Ekaya Banaras and elegant jewels.

The Opulent Cocktail-Reception

A classy and luxurious yet intimate reception, the black-tie themed cocktail was all about raising a toast to the newlyweds while breathing in an unmatched panache and tasteful looks. From the couple to their squads, everybody was clad in flamboyant Shantanu & Nikhil ensembles that elevated their looks by multifold.

The bride and her tribe slipped into exquisite gowns fashioned in modish silhouettes, bold hues, and intricate sequin work. Fine & dainty diamond jewels added a dash of bling to their looks that were further amped up with glamorous makeup and elaborately done hair. The groom and his men on the other hand, looked crisp and handsome in their black bandhgalas and tuxedos that further elevated the vibe of the evening.

Hosting an intimate or skinny wedding does not necessarily mean that your looks ought to be minimal and simplistic…that they can’t be high on style and trends. In fact, this shoot encapsulates exactly how to let your outfits and looks do all the talking and how they should always steal the show!
