It’s usually with the onset of fall that our longing for snuggling in our warms beds, sippin’ on our cups of hot chocolate, and breathing in the balmy winter sun starts growing on everyone. Moreover, for us, it also means prepping ourselves up to indulge in all the sho-sha and the zest of the wedding season approaching us. And even though this year’s celebrations were completely toppled over by the pandemic, the world of weddings is however, back on its feet. Of course, in an entirely new & rejuvenated way of intimate celebrations but, probably the warmest and heartiest ever.
Yet, being all things beautiful & charming, the idea of an intimate soiree—being new to a lot of to-be-weds—gets nerve racking. But, standing tall as their saviors to guide them through this phase came together a team of versatile & experienced wedding experts. For how they see the #newnormal with a different perspective, this unique collaborative shoot is all the inspiration you’d need! And being their social media partners, we’re all game to brim you up with these choicest ideas to plan your winter wedding.
Planning an intimate wedding and designing its decor can get daunting especially, when downsizing your big fat dreams in a close-knit mould. And hence, this shoot’s ‘traditional weds contemporary’ theme is a vision that’ll sweep you off your feet.
After many long brainstorming sessions these renowned wedding curators—Styl.Inc Wedding Stylists, RashiNidhi Events, and Chapter 2 Events (C2E)—came up with the idea of depicting the concept of skinny weddings through this shoot.
As planners, the team of Chapter 2 Events took on the primary task of scouting the perfect location boding well with the theme of the shoot. The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake fitted the bill perfectly. For it’s proximity to Delhi, it became an instinctive choice for this one of its kind event. Further on, the planners primarily acted as a coordinator between all the stakeholders and partners to make sure nothing was amiss and was well-aligned before and during the shoot.
And being their co-visionaries & decor designers, RashiNidhi Events carefully imagined the effervescence of an opulent yet intimate soiree and breathed life into the perception. They fashioned the most voguish decor inspiration that’s simply unparalleled.
If any further topping the shoot conceptualization needed, it was the creative geniuses of their ace photography and make-up partners. Apart from strengthening the shoot’s roots, while make-up artist Jasmeet Kapany dolled up the bride like a showstopper, Shutterdown Photography framed every bit of the inspiration timelessly.
So, let’s jump right into the decor deets of this shoot and start taking notes!
The most boisterous ceremony of all, haldi is all about madness drenched in hearty laughter, love that knows no bounds, and sunshining yellow. Wanting to conceptualize the bare innocence & intimacy of this nuptial in a playful manner, a modern day sit-down picnic was planned.
A merry boho setup was fashioned in hues of yellow & white further accentuated with similar toned florals and foliage to add a dash of freshness. Elements like a low wooden table, macramé cushions & pillows, rugs, wicker baskets, side tables & vases, elegant glassware, and poufs were creatively infused together.
Iqrar- Vows at Dusk
A celebration of couple and their new beginning in a boho chic style, the wedding decor was a fine blend of beauty and rustic with the sunset playing the most beautiful backdrop ever. Set amidst the venue The Gateway Resort’s lush greens, the setting was crafted with locally procured pampas, bajra, pretty flowers, and foliage. Rugs and candle lanterns added a magical touch that further elevated the evening’s vibe and quintessence.
