About The Couple

Their Tale

Janki and Falgun’s story is somehow the all time classic one yet, has hints of unique to it. As the bride connotes, “We’ve actually been family friends but surprisingly, never knew of each other. It was in July 2015, when we both happened to see each other in Pune and realized how closely the families are bonded. After multiple meetings, movies, and a trip to Imagica, we had to confess how deeply in love we were. The rest as they say, is history! We haven’t proposed to each other, but have always known that we are meant to be.”

Wedding Planning & Details

Hosted at the Indana Palace, Jodhour, the couple’s wedding shenanigans were a perfect mix of traditional and unconventional events. An intimate and love-filled soiree, this regal extravagance was brought to life by the couple and their families with their master allies Velvet Events and New Click Events.
And for how Studio Beunique topped it off by capturing it with equal liveliness and perfection, this celebration, as the bride says, “was more than perfect and everything I could have ever asked for!”

Roka Ceremony

The revelries kick-started on a religious note with a chunari-cum-ganesh sthapna ceremony for which the couple slipped into graceful hues.

While Janki looked elegant in a yellow Banarasi crop top & skirt ensemble, Falgun wore a dark hued kurta with a jacket.

Rajasthani Mehndi Mela

This Rajasthani themed mela was a riot of colors and quirky elements giving off traditional vibes. A classic jhoola seating, mixed colorful seating lounges, multi-hued drapes with unique cascading elements, carpets etc., marked the entire decor along with fun games and live stalls.

The couple made their entry on a floral bedecked open auto rickshaw to Rajasthani folk tunes.

Janki's Look

Janki, for the day, looked splendid in her ombre blue hued Vasansi lehenga replete with stunning embroideries. Her beautiful hand painted pink meenakari jewellery added tons of charm to her overall look while subtle makeup and open wavy locks finished it off prettily.

Falgun's Look

Falgun wore a complementing blue kurta teamed up with a jaal embroidered jacket from Telon looking all handsome.

Masquerade Party

This unique night witnessed bling, class, and exquisiteness that’s purely unmatched. While the guests grooved the night away in their tuxedos and gowns, the avant-garde decor highlighted with florals, foliage, mask cut outs, and ambient lights set the mood!

Couple Looks

For the night, the couple went all glam in their tasteful ensembles. While Falgun looked a charmer in his blue Kora tux, Janki bedazzled in a stunning & princessy top-skirt set by Annu’s Creation. Marked with embellishments and huge OTT ruffles, her dress looked magnificent!

Simple open hair and subdued yet glam makeup completed her look flawlessly.

Haldi Ceremony

The phoolon ki holi themed haldi ceremony was a boisterous ceremony soothingly blended with winter sunshine and kulhad chai. (we’re dyyiinngg😍)

While the guests donned yellow, the couple slipped into stunning white outfits with a tad bit of yellow! As much as we loved Falgun’s side buttoned white kurta and yellow dhoti set, we’re all hearts for Janki’s white lehenga teamed up with a dual-toned cape.

Pool Party

Next up was the pepped up pool party that really was one helluva celebration in itself. The couple entered along with their bridesmaids and groomsmen (all in matching outfits) holding out colored smoke bombs.

The rain-dance setup, jazzed up music, massage boys, and games like balloon shooting, ring throw and live caricature artist entwined perfectly to make the day an entertaining one!

Couple Looks

The couple, just like the function, went a little fun with their looks and slipped into hues of lavender. Falgun teamed up his shirt and trousers with an edgy striped blazer while Janki wore a chic dress accentuated with a matching fascinator!

The Wedding

Janki heartily articulates the wedding ceremony and says, “Falgun & I always wanted a wedding that evoked timeless elegance and royalty. It looked like a dream, like a glimpse of how heavens might celebrate love. The courtyard was completely lit, and the entire set-up was in golden & red, be it the mandap or the seating with golden chandeliers as the centerpiece. A hanging backdrop with our hashtag #FalgunKiJan was like a perfect prelude to the rest of our lives.”

Janki's Look

Janki’s ensemble was truly a traditional and royal weave with zardozi work on kanjeevaram silk with real silver & gold thread weaving. A veil that trailed behind her added that perfect touch of elegance to her look.

A bewitching polki, pearl, & emerald set along with a striking rani haar and bangle sets made up for her queen-like jewellery. Classic bridal makeup with a red bindi enhanced her look by multi folds.

Falgun's Look

Falgun looked a royal prince in his gorgeous Telon sherwani replete with Swarovski and pearl handwork. Further paired up with a pastel hued safa and pearl necklace, his look stole our hearts!

Unique Details

While the couple’s different entry ideas are worth pinning, what tugged at out hearts and did with Janki’s too was Falgun’s surprise for her.

Falgun had the entire courtyard marked with around 200 cold pyros that went off lighting up the whole place as soon as they took their first step for the pheras.
With vedic shlokas echoing in the background and amidst the sparklers, we can only imagine how heavenly the pheras would actually have been!

The Reception

The traditional wedding was followed by a grand and exuberant reception at the Madhuban Resort, Anand, which was an all glamorous affair. Heavy foliage, cascading crystal strings, pretty blooms, and chandeliers were used to create a classy ambiance.

Couple Looks

Falgun wore a black velvet tuxedo by Kora looking all dapper and classy. Janki, whereas, wore a beauteous nude shade Amrin Khan gown replete with sequin work.

Half open hair with wavy ends and flushed makeup with pretty smokey eyes made her look mesmerizing!
